Will this recall include unsafe government administrative decisions ? Maybe a recall on Bush and his whole administration might be in order- I’m sure he (and his politics ) are responsible for a lot more harm to the citizens of the US than any lead tainted toys from China…

and how exactly have you been harmed? nothing in my life has physically changed, that i can think of, as a result of bush and his administration. i still have a home, car, insurance, food, opportunities, a job, a college degree, freedom… the list goes on and on. but maybe i’m just unusually fortunate..
Cost to America, so far, of the Irag war that we got into based on lies from Bush and his henchman:
Nearly 4,000 dead soldiers.
Over 28,000 wounded soldiers.
Over 500 billion dollars down the tubes that we could have used at home.

i never said it wasn’t costly. i was just wondering how kec had been harmed so as a result? cause let’s face it, in my opinion, you can throw out numbers all day of dollars spent and accusations that the war was based on lies of the bush administration, but other than maybe having lost a loved one in the war, i really don’t think that MOST people’s daily lives have really, physically changed as a result.

It’s unbelieveable how selfish this country has gotten. Will we ever have a population willing to pay any price for freedom? No, people like Thomas are too willing to count the costs or assign blame for decisions made at the time that seems right to most people in this country. Just like so many topics discussed on this site anymore, People like Thomas need somebody to blame. Ok, now you can start parading all the paranoid liberal talking points about war for oil and millions killed. Pure garbage.
I agree we have become self-centered and selfish as deomonstrated by lh’s original comment that he or she has not had to pay any personal price for Bush’s mistakes. My point is that we, as Americans, are all paying a price in one way or another.

I’d support mandatory recalls under certain circumstances, but I haven’t thought enough about it to determine exactly what those circumstances would be. It would be interesting to read the proposal.
It’s difficult to respond to Thomas and Freedom since they don’t live in the real world. There is some fantasy world out there for left wing nuts that if we all “peace out” and hug the world will love us and live together in harmony. Get real. It was a Kennedy quote.
