I am in insurance and there is no lack of creative insurance products in the industry. If there is a need the industry will fill the void. http://www.phoenix-life-insurance.com
This would be a terrible coverage to offer. It reduces the obligation and incentive for the policyholder to attempt to avoid a strike by good faith negotiating. It would also adversely impact related/dependent businesses to prolonged loss.
The last “creative” coverage was “kidnap and ransom”. Talk about a stupid move. It does nothing more than create an incentive for kidnappers everywhere to snatch people and collect money. The better coverage would be “kidnap response expense coverage”. That would pay for mercenaries to hunt down the kidnappers an “eliminate” them.
The coverage is for affected businesses – not those involved in the strike itself. So it is good coverage to offer. Were I a restaraunt near Broadway I would get it in a contract year to cover my rear. Obviously you wouldn’t want to insure those directly involved in negotiations against strike losses.
I hope you’re happy Ted Kennedy, I hope your really freakin’ happy.
That comment makes absolutely no sense in this forum.

I hope Mary is not in the insurance industry. If she can’t comprehend this article, I would hate to have her explain policy coverage.
