In my opinion, banks need to be looked at in depth for all the various things they do, not just this stuff. They are out of control in their fees, charges, rates, procedures and almost every other part of what they do. They pay their employees poverty wages and yet they make huge profits. People complain about oil company profits, but the banks are the one business totally out of control in this country. I’m not anti-bank, I would just like a little light shed on their methods of doing business.

I’m thankful my company has a credit union. Banks charge you for breathing their air any more. It’s like the old Beatle’s tune, Taxman.

Come on people, it’s America. Land of the free! We need to step back and stop all this regulating. Bigger government? I say not. Let’s let the consumer dictate. I have 3 credit unions that I use. So if you don’t like banks, then move to a credit union. Anyway, I say let the financial institutions bail themselves out and keep government out of that also. Bad decisions should lead to someone getting fired, not the government stepping in and bailing them out. The financial institutions will survive and so will America. We just need to keep the government out of it or it won’t.

When did you last use a bank Baxtor? Some people don’t have the credit union option. An overdraft charge of $33 a day? Average overdraft charges are $39 a day according to a recent survey. You now have to pay to access an actual human teller. You have to pay more to access an ATM, in some places I understand it’s as much as $5. Charges for everything with less service than ever. Their credit card companies charging whatever rate they want whenever they want. Sign on for a low rate and a few months later, after paying every bill on time, your rates triple. All I am saying is that banks seem to have had a pretty free pass on regulation for a long time. They seem to have great lobbyists. I almost never agree with Barney Frank on anything, but this industry is a bit out of control.

You guys are for regulation? Chuckle, chuckle, chuckle. If you live long enough, you’ll see everything.

At least we know what’s important to you…

Why stop at banks, insurance pals?

Come on, listen to yourselves!!! You’re saying “please help us government, the big bad banks are hurting us.” How about this: let’s increase bank fees to 40% of what you deposit, and have their services go mostly to others less “fortunate.” Oh, wait, that’s what the government already does. Hmmm, I don’t hear any complaining about that.

More government regulation takes more resources, and resources are not free, which means we can increase the federal debt to pay for it (already at $115k per person) or raise taxes. I would personally rather pay my money to the bank than the government. But I’m not cool and helpless like you commy bastards.

Grow up. If you don’t like the idiot taxes (aka fees) that banks charge, then stuff your money under your matress. This is(/was) a FREE COUNTRY. You know what that is supposed to mean? That means YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO FREE BANKING.
