AIG Rebrands Domestic Insurance as P/C Group; Shuffles Executives

Insurance giant American International Group, Inc. has renamed its Domestic General Insurance operations the AIG Property Casualty Group, a move the company says reflects the increasing power of AIG’s corporate brand and an intention to provide a clearer view of AIG’s U.S. and Canadian operations.

The new AIG Property Casualty Group will include the AIG Domestic Brokerage Group companies, which will now be known as AIG Commercial Insurance Group, as well as the AIG Domestic Personal Lines companies, United Guaranty Corp., and The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co.

AIG Executive Vice President Kristian P. Moor has been named president and chief executive officer of the new AIG Property Casualty Group. Moor joined AIG in 1981 and served in various senior positions in the management liability division of AIG’s National Union
Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa. He was named president of National Union in 1995 and in 1997 he was elected an AIG senior vice president and named president and chief executive officer of the Domestic Brokerage Group. Moor is also a member of the AIG
Group Executive Committee.

Kevin H. Kelley, chairman and chief executive officer of AIG’s Lexington Insurance Co., has been named executive vice president of AIG Property Casualty Group and president of AIG Domestic Personal Lines, reporting to Moor. Kelley will also continue
as chairman and CEO of Lexington Insurance Co. Kelley joined Lexington Insurance in 1975 as a senior underwriter. He has held a number of executive positions at Lexington, becoming president and CEO in 1987 and chairman in 1997. Kelley was elected AIG senior
vice president, Domestic General Insurance in 1991.

John Q. Doyle, president and CEO of AIG Executive Liability and
AIG’s American Home Assurance Co., has been appointed executive vice president of AIG Property Casualty Group, and president of the new AIG Commercial Insurance Group, reporting to Moor. Doyle will be responsible for overseeing all of the AIG domestic commercial
insurance businesses. Doyle joined AIG’s National Union in 1986 where he held several positions of increasing responsibility. He also served as Domestic Brokerage Group executive vice president responsible for Field Operations. He became president of American Home in 2002. He was named president and CEO of AIG Executive Liability and elected AIG senior vice president, Domestic General Insurance in 2006.
