DON’T DO IT! Just look what the STATE OF FLORIDA’s government program did to the property insurance business. Did it lower the rates? Make coverage more available? Encourage the private market to compete?
I agree, don’t do it! The genius Democratic Party has yet another scheme for “investors”. State of Florida has proven that they should not be in the insurance business and the feds should not be as well. It’s enough that the flood program is financed by taxpayers, now they want to finance a CAT fund. This is so democrats can stand up and say we care! In the meantime, get ready to pay.
