I spent an arm and a leg trying to save him. Here the whole time I was poisoning him. I sure wish I had more time to sue too. Lucky for them I have a business to run. I hope these people take em to the cleaners.Maybe they will be more careful.
The whole thing makes me sick to my stomach.
    And Sad.

My dog started having seizures atfer being fed some of this contaminated food and now is diagnosed as having epilepsy which stills contiunues even after discontinuing the food.

It is so very sad that our country has let all of our product manufacturing go to china where there is obviously questionable safegards and regulations to protect consumers and be sure that products are safe.

For me this has been a sad story and my dog contimues to suffer and has to take so much medication to control his siezures. It has cost me thousands of dollars. I hope this company gets the Karma they deserve.

There may be something we (I lost my Skeeter to this greed) can do about this. How about Americans stop buying any of the food they make (just look back at the list of the recall) We then pick an American manufacturer, buy stock in them, put Menu out of business, and make a little $ from the stock going up from the sales going all to the one manufacturer. It would sure be a great lesson for all companies if this would work. What do you think?

I lost my beloved Chloe in Jan 07 – still miss her something terrible. I can’t believe its been over a year already. I know she’s still with me as I dream about her now and then.

What we ALL need to do is be more informed about what we are buying. I am now buying food made strictly in the U.S. by smaller, family manufacturers using quality products who have total control over the process and test the food before canning/bagging. Any new food I buy, I check out the comapny’s website and I call them before I use their product.

I see our nation (as a whole) becoming more and more in-tune with animal rights and issues (no thanks to China/Menu Foods and Michael Vick). Our pets are our family members (i.e. millions spent on pet food, supplies and healthcare). Problem is the laws have been SLOW in catching up. The Humane Society of America’s website has a wealth of info, including a page with a link to each state’s representaive. Check it out and see if your representative and/or senator is on board with legislation supporting animal welfare.

I want this country/world to have more respect for God’s creatures. In Chloe’s memory instead strictly sending donations to the Humane Society I got involved as a volunteer earlier this year. Not only I have I learned more about how some people (and industries) treat animals, I have too learned about what is being done to change the status quo for the better. My one plug . . . if you live in California there will be a measure on the November ballot to stop factory farmers from the cruelest practices in the industry (no, it’s not an anti-meat measure) which have been banned in Eurpoe and a few other U.S. states (with more joining the movement). It’s simply for humane farming practices. I wish the measure was stronger in punishing violators but it’s a start. Check out Californians for Humane Farms.

If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read this note. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and all those who have lost their babies . . .

I am very sorry for all of you. I was not a victim of this particular incident, but I have checked product labels for my dogs and selected only those Made in USA for many years, in fact, better than I have for myself and my “people-loved ones”! And I don’t buy any that say “made for XXX with a USA address, either, because it says say where. I hope more people will take this precaution in hte future.

Brie was one of the first to have this unknown illness. She was stuck in January,2007. She was so strong and talked to us up to the end. I enventually had to put her out of pain. She is a remainer in our backyard. I was raised with animals and still have 2 cats and 2 dogs. All rescue animals. I still cannot feed my animals wet food. It is not about financial compensation but about justice for all of us who lost a member of our family. I understand in other nations the loved and concern of animals might be on a different level. When you allow chemicals to be placed in foods which you know will be harmful to make a profit is unforgivable.

Menu Foods was a victim like the rest of us. The perpetrators were the fraudulent companies in China together with the Chinese Government who protected them by denying visas to FDA inspectors for several weeks until they had time to erase all the evidence. The remmedy is to avaid buying anything made in China until China decides to embrace the civilized world. There are a host of needy developing world countries who produce excellent products and who respect normal human ethics.
