Mark your calendars so that in two years when Marsh talks about unloading their Retail Agency because they cannot compete with the Independent Agents ability to relate to the client. I know clients that had $150 million in revenue and would never get call backs. Good luck.
What a novel concept….
Good luck winning back the accounts you gave up a few years ago because they were considered too small. And I assume the employees that left as a result of having their book sold off are just lining up to reunite with Marsh and have another run at their old accounts.
I guess you could consider slave labor working hard.
I did “cut it with the big boys”, in fact, I could do donuts around most of the AM’s. I just got tired of the constant changes that Aon makes. Add into that Greg Case and his “outsource everything” philosophy.
After watching him kill off the Houston ACS, and outsource most of the ACS work to India (and don’t tell me that hasn’t been a nightmare), it was time to move on.
Marsh has legacy issues in this market that will not be easily overcome. It is not just a matter of a name change or separate location…it is a change in how you do business, staffing with those who understand these client needs and responsiveness in client service. As a competitor(now retired) I would see these initiatives by Marsh come and go, assured that they could never seem to get it right!Another failed effort in the making or attempt to regain “contingent commissions” by calling it an “agency”? We shall see!

Not Again!
Marsh in 60’s had these guys
then had them go away
then they went after this biz again
then they did’t
now they are…………..
how long before they change again
An oxymoron.
Just like Aon, a good ol’ boys club of fat cats that do as little as possible.
Jack Butcher used to run the Chicago office., what happened to that gig?
They sold all of their small stuff to Acordia about 3 yrs ago, Acordia lost it to the agency force.

Big Dog,
Aon is my employer and we work hard. Sorry you couldn’t cut it with the big boys.

Had they kept the old name, they could have at least used up the stock of stationary….
