Mr. Liddy should start his speech by thanking Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Chris Dodd for all they’ve done in bringing the economy to a halt and aiding AIG to the brink of disaster.
In addition, Mr. Liddy should tell Congress that the bonuses are just “earmarks”. And that their spending habits are “imperfect”, but there is “Hope” and they will “Change”.
It’s sad the president of AIG is going to be before an inquisition and must answer these pious elitists in Congress, who are in part to blame for the economic mess the U.S. is currently in.
