I believe that it was the former CEO of AIG who made the comment “Never put the rabbit in charge of the lettuce patch.” It seems as though we have done just that with the Finance Division and they continue to be in charge of doling out vast amounts of taxpayer money to so called legally entitled counterparties. Of ccurse there are alternatives if any of our brighter legal and financial minds can look outside of the box. For instance “That which you do not have, you can not give.” And you don’t have to destroy the world economy to accomplish that.
