what happened to hartford financial that they need a tarp? why can we allow the president of this company think he can be a deputy when his company is asking for a bailout? there’s a conflict of interest in this because now, he’s giving money to his old institution… something does not smell right?!

Give it a rest. Wolin has served in similar capacities for our government in the past and was extememly successful in his SHORT tenure at The Hartford in P&C (notice how he has no direct ties to Life?). You make it sound as if he personally ran the company into the ground and then left to dole out government funds to all of his buddies ‘back home’.

    Ugh,

You are a typical lying liberal thief. Go tell it to Ocomma. This guy should not be running anything that has the word Treasury in it, especially if preceeded by U.S.! And, how do you define “short” 7 years is “short” tenure?? I’ll bet when you apply it to the Bush Administration 2001-08 was not “short” was it, Ugh???

Nope – Bush’s 8 years was just enough time for him to sink this country into the worst black whole of debt it’s ever seen. I’d much rather have someone in the White House spend our tax dollars on moving the economy in the right direction, instead of sinking every dollar our great-great-great grandkids will ever make into fighting wars for oil. Is that liberal enough for you?

“From 2001 to 2008, Wolin served at The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., most recently as president and chief operating officer for Property and Casualty and previously as general counsel.”

now, tell me that it does not say he ran the financial side! he did and that is the one asking for money and getting approved…
