The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. announced that Sean Fitzpatrick, senior vice president of its Middle Market insurance businesses, will assume responsibility for the company’s Specialty Financial insurance businesses – Hartford Financial Products and Bond.
The Specialty Financial business is a strong contributor to The Hartford’s property and casualty business and is one of the largest providers of Directors & Officers (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Errors & Omissions (E&O), crime and surety insurance in the nation.
In addition to his new duties, Fitzpatrick will continue to lead the Middle Market insurance segment. He joined The Hartford in 2007, after held positions of increasing responsibility with the Chubb Group of Insurance Cos., including serving as chief underwriting officer of Chubb Specialty Insurance.
Fitzpatrick replaces David McElroy, who is retiring after nine years at The Hartford.
