Appalachian Underwriters Inc., based in Oak Ridge, Tenn., has launched true pay-as-you-go (PAYGO) general liability and workers’ compensation programs, developed specifically for clients of professional employer organizations, administrative service organizations and payroll service providers.
The contractors’ general liability program is available for more than 40 artisan classes and is offered in all states through carriers rated ‘A-‘ or better by A.M. Best. The workers’ compensation program is available for all industries and is written through multiple carriers rated ‘A’ or better by A.M. Best.
John Valko has been hired to lead the new programs. He has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience, specializing in the staffing and PEO industry.
