This issue is too important to drink anyone’s coolaide. Please go to http://www.factcheck.org and see who is lying to you about what. Neither side is perfect on this one, but we should dig a little deeper than just believing these boneheads who have guaranteed healthcare for life. They all have a political stake and YOU aren’t real important to that.
otherwise how will the children and the poor get the quality care that everyone else does. if this bill doesnt pass people will die because they wont be able to afford to go to the doctor then how will you feel :-(
I’m trying to figure out how you think Rosie but I can’t seem to get there. In case you haven’t heard about these programs, you might want to look into the ‘Healthy Children’ health program available for schoolage children or Medicade – the government health program for low income people / families….
Even those paying high prices for private health care (business owners, proprietors) dont want this to pass. It’s horrible! Gives to the poor bad coverage and takes from the rich to pay for it.
Part of the health bill should be sex reform. There are millions of poor ugly people that either have very little or no sex at all and then there are the rich or good looking people that have sex anytime they want. I think it is the function of government to even the playing field as it is not fair that some people are born good looking and rich. If you are rich you could buy “sex credits” much like Algores carbon credits but if you are just good looking you would have to report to one of Obamas volunteer organizations once a month to donate yourself.
Everyone has a right to sex as it is good for your health so it should be a part of the preventative medicine section of the government health bill. Go Obama.
Rosie..I think perhaps that the welfare receipants are probably in better health than those of us who toil 10-12 hr per day in a high stress job to support our family as well as pay a high rate of taxes to a government that feels the average worker has to bear the burden of welfare. After, all the welfare office probably does open as eary as most of us start work…they should be well rested.
“Health Reform”? Forget politics. Can anyone tell me about the “health” that is being “reformed”? Are there new medical treatments that are being legislated, new “diseases” that are being “changed”, or different “cures” that anyone has?
What I hear, see and read is that “health reform” is nothing more than another way to spend money, or to order others to spend their money. The political issue is simply who is going to do the ordering and who is going to do the spending. I don’t call that “heath reform”.
The company I work for offers health care and it does contribute to some of the cost. By looking out the window at the overweight smokers I wouldn’t say that having healthcare automatically leads to healthier living. I’m not sure where all of the savings is going to come from, other than limiting coverage…
The bottom line is this. Instead of scaring us with propaganda. Tell us what is in the freaking bill!!!!!!!!!!
Does my husband have to wait for his colon cancer screening until he is 50 or not? If so, then how is this different then what we already have? Except that 48 million people will also beable to wait.
What was that you said? It will cost less? But I shouldn’t believe it because they’re not telling the truth?
Who am I to believe. The insurance company? Or my trusted elected officials?
I beginning to think the health plan I have is a figment of my imagination. I’m just certain that if I become seriously ill that it will vanish into thin air.
I’ve got a great idea. I want my money back, so I can self insure myself.
My healthcare insurance provider, Horizon BC BS of New Jersey, contacted my mother, while I was an inpatient in the hospital, to downgrade my Traditional Plan. Every time I entered the hospital as an inpatient this occurred without my knowledge and without my consent as a 35 year old woman, suffering from SLE. To make a long story short, the representatives of Horizon BC BS of NJ had my mother fill out forms to downgrade my insurance, where the anual premium rose to $29,500 with the apparent blessing of appointed and elected officials in the state of New Jersey. I was then forced onto an HMO with the same provider. When I attempted to use my insurance coverage with this HMO policy, the Horizon BC BS of NJ sent one of their representatives to my house to intimidate me into not seeking medical treatment. I am going to sue my now former insurer for millions upon millions of dollars for damages. If this causes my fellow citizens rates to go up — good! As far as I am concerned, my fellow citizens have been nothing less than collaborators in this health care insurance ponzi scheme. The people in this country are extremely selfish in addition to being extremely complacent. If you don’t want your premiums to become prohibitive, then revamp the system and put all of the miscreants profiteering off of your misfortune and demise in prison. Any healthcare executive with blood on his hands (and any doctors, employed by these healthcare insurance companies, denying treatment to patients) should serve long prison terms in a federal, maximum security facility with hardened criminals.

These Rosie posts are boring already. I’m ready for a new troll.

There’s your problem right there Edumacated. You’re assuming Rosie actually thinks. From what I can tell, it’s a recorded, koolaid-induced mantra…
“Save the women and children, save the poor, work harder so the folks milking the government don’t have to!!!”
Dude, There is not “Rosie”. Someone is messing with you but it is getting old. Not funny anymore.

Wanting:
If you were married, you would realize sex credits already exist.
Can Harris Poll not, I don’t know, quiz people to see if those who “feel” they’re super-smart are *actually* as well-informed as they think?
This poll tells us more about personalities than about the healthcare proposals. “Know-it-alls are contrarians.” Thanks, Harris, for being useless.

just someone posting to stir things up…I guess I hate think there is anyone that stupid!
The Rosie poster just likes to stir the pot. It used to be funny, but one note comedians stop being funny after a while.

Polls, statistics, surveys, blah blah blah. Yeah that’s right.
