Mexican trucks need to be kept off our roads. We have a tough enough time policing safe operation of our own extra heavy truck tractors. Do you really want a Mexican truck driving on the same highway that you’re driving down with your family in the car? Heck No you don’t.
well, i beg to differ a tad w/you on this… NAFTA was designed to help the economy of both canada, america and mexico. we already allow canada to go as far as their loads go to deliver and then take a load back. they can not take any other loads w/in the US to be delivered w/in the us. this supposed to be the same w/the mexican side as well. we placed mexico on because we thought that most of the trucks are not safety worthy. so they bring them across the border for the regular us drivers to deliver. i used to be an otr trucker/trainer for 7 yrs. i know most folks think they will take the loads away from the regular drivers. i don’t think so. i think that we find that their trucks due to safety might cause hazards to the road. concern is the driver safety versus the truck.
If they drive here They should have the same rules regulations and safety guidelines if they do not seize the trucks and loads and pull their license, see how long they bring the wrecks across then.
Did any of you pinheads read the article? It talks about BUSES not CARGO TRUCKS. Buses carry Mexicans. Why would we want more Mexicans on broken down buses anyway. We should deport all Mexicans who aren’t citizens and close the border to all but legitimate commercial traffic. That country has done nothing for America but take financial aid and transfer its problems here. Mexicans are sucking our economy dry and are a burden on the schools and medical facilities.
You go Fran, I am with you! Mexican Buses are not being checked at the border because they pay the border patrol not to check the buses. No ticky no washy, remember those days?
