    Violate trust and you have lost it forever. Be forthright in your information and explain why and what you are going to do about it and you build trust. There is a certain lack of trust right now in corporate america. We would be better served if we had corporate executives who know how to lead a company out of a bad situation instead of running from bad information by misleading us and the stockholders.

    Matt, I guess the next headlines will be;
    “CRIME PAYS” lol.

    It is about Character and no one from the media in this country gets it because they are usually very liberal and cant understand the concept.

    Except for Fox News journalists. They have character because they are not liberal.

    Bill you are right on. One would wonder if the analyst that came up with that cause of companies loosing money failed to factor the overall operations and trust quotient the companies hold with their stockholders. Seems to me that our current generation of leadership/management doesn’t recognize the hazards of their actions. In many cases they have committed greivous malfeasance but never been taken to task for their actions. Look how Farmers does their business, and the magnitude of looking the other way when the company and industry waould be better served to actually step up to the plate and deliver.

    You got it mouse!
    Where is responsibility anymore. Great leadership is measured by overcoming great obstacles, not running from it by lying about brutal facts or blaming your predicessor,(Obama) or mistating financial information to make you look better, (GE, BOA, Citi, Enron, Etc.) GE just got fined 50 million for misleading stockholders, you wont hear that on NBC. We need patriotic leaders of corporations and government who can face reality and overcome great obstacles. Thats leadership, not some guy who leads by putting his ear to the ground and runs with the crowd and hopes no one ever finds out about their ponzi.

    Let’s face it; this country is doomed. Greed, lack of personal responsibility, fraud, incompetence, erosion of morals, have taken their toll and become the “norm” for American business. While perhaps a small percentage of people, they cannot be stopped. The rest of us are merely along for the ride. This is so out of control the only thing that will stop it is the Rapture.
