Greenwich, Conn.-based insurance holding company W.R. Berkley Corp. has appointed Gillian James to the newly created office of senior vice president for enterprise risk management. Her duties will include analyzing, modeling and responding to risk, events and opportunities, the company said.
James has 20 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, having served in the United Kingdom as a senior executive at a reinsurance intermediary where she headed the analytic team. She has experience in stochastic model development and analysis and its application to strategic decision making.
