Am I the only one who thinks that the high cost of healthcare is what is driving the high cost of health insurance.

Cant anyone understand that the cost is the problem.

Doctors can not make $1,000,000. a year.
Drug Companies can not charge us more than they do France or Canada.
Hospitals can not charge $3,000. for a 4 hour emergency room visit. of $50 for an aspirin.
Lawyers can not keep suing doctors for performing proceedures that dont always work. Its called a risk!

    ITS ABOUT COST NOT INSURANCE!

How come Republicans weren’t wary when they passed unfunded Medicare Part D?

All we heard about was how much Billy Tauzin loves his mother (right before he left government to lead Phrma), and all we saw were photo shoots with grinning Republicans in front of crowds of elderly people.

I didn’t see anything about national debt, not being able to afford it, no complaints of a new HUGE entitlement program, no one was “wary”. They were high fiving each other and mentally figuring out how to spend their new war chests full of crisp campaign contributions (the ones that weren’t thinking about how to spend their new huge consulting salaries at the firms that just finished lobbying them in support of the bill).

    Yay America!

    Matt,

So, since we already have the following scams destroying our country:

    1. Medicare, with trillions in unfunded liabilities
    2. Social Security, which has been ripped off by democrats
    3. Medicare Part D – which most republicans, who aren’t elected fo public office, opposed and still do.

With all that, you want to add ANOTHER multi-trillion, unfunded huge government program? Can you not perform basic math?
