Well…if you’re feeling a little hurt…a little left out, what better way to make yourself feel better than with a multi million dollar lawsuit.

Using hundred dollar bills to wipe tears from your eyes can be very soothing.

any truth to the rumor that Obama is suing Mel Gibson because “The Passion of the Christ” was about him and yet he didn’t get a cut of the profits?

Now wait a second, if this was adapted from an article written in Playboy, then it is NOT an original screenplay and the legal disclaimer that it was not based on real people is not true. The academy has two categories for screen play oscars, one for original and one for adapted. Maybe this soldier has somethign here. Give the guy his day in court before all this crybaby crap you are slinging.

    Matt,

Do you beleive that a soldier loses his legal rights because he should be hardened by putting his life on the line while you sit behind your computer monitor judging him? Walk a day in his boots and then talk trash.

I’ve often thought about suingthe makers of the James Bond movies because the James Bond character seems to be based on my life.

If the movie was a dud and lost money would he be billed for a share of the expenses? If you have nothing invested you should not share in the return. Newspapers make money writing about people every day should a person whose name appears in an article be paid part of the paper’s profit? I think not.

As a Viet-nam combat vet it would appear you never served in anything.

Just shut up and kiss mine too!

Invested !!!!!!! If it is based on his life regardless of if it is in service of his country or an underwriter in peril of spilling hot coffee in his lap it is still his life story. Let me make a movie about you without your permission and profit by it and see how well you take that.

And what is an investment, losing your friends in combat, giving up your family, sleeping on the rocks in full combat dress, crawling on your belly through mine fields, melting in an unairconditioned armored personel carrier in the middle of the desert with a kevlar jacket. Its not just a job, its an adventure.

Very intelligent response JM, just what I would expected from a GRUNT, yes I’m an Air Force Viet Nam Vet, I don’t try to make a living out of being a vet or wearing it on my sleave – very pathic response.

    Bob,

My dad was also in the air force in Vietnam stationed at Bien Hoa with the the 3d TFW and in 1969 he paid the ultimate price. We dont wear that on our sleeves either but I dont think he would be ashamed that his son is an army grunt.

Sorry Bob, but you are no class act yourself ! JM, thanks for your service and it is something to be proud of. Wear it anywhere you like because it is a badge of honor.

    GO CAVALRY !!!!

Yes, no draft since Viet Nam, and now we have the liberty to ***** about our freedoms from the posture of sitting on our ***. And there are those that fight for your right to do so by choice.

Great point, todays soldiers give their blood freely and by choice.

    GO CAVALRY !!!!

I know that this is an old post, but I just had to say that this comment was funny as Sh-t. Laughed out loud. Need it on a Monday. From a privacy and copyright perspective. The bomb disposal expert has some very convincing circumstances on his side. Never seeing the playboy article or movie, I can not comment. He is well within his rights.

Yeah, this soldier is a little confused if he thinks he coined the phrase “hurt locker”, my Grandfather was in the service and he used that phrase all of my life – oh, and explained it as often as he could. I’m not so sure this guy “deserves” any money – it’s a bit of a stretch.
