    The Fed Wins
    Consumers Lose

Great job, Dodd. Hurry up and retire, I hear Mozilo has some great VIP mortgage deals for you.

I guess Dodd’s position makes him the guy to introduce this legislation/regulation. But, based on his past screw-ups it raises the level of partisan bickering. I just hope this is effective.

Senator Chris Dodd is part of the problem. His retirement is well over due. He represents everything that has gone wrong with our government. Under his leadership he supported President Clinton in forcing banks to lend money to credit unworthy clients.

When the banks began to have defaults, he hide from the public.

The proposed $50 Billion fund will be paid indirectly by taxpayers/consumers. The Congress will raid this fund just as they have Social Security and the Railroad pension fund.

Our national debt is not 12 Trillion dollars. It is 74 Trillion dollars when using standard and accepted accounting procedures. The Fed is the only organization which is not required to report all financial liabilities.

They have not placed the National Flood Insurance Plan premiums in reserves. Yet, they recently announce 1/3 of properties in the US are subject to having a flood in the short term.

Senator Dobb passed legilation requiring Mortgage Brokers and Mortgage Loan Officers to register with the National Mortgage Officer Registry. The mortgage loan officers and brokers in North Carolina are licensed by the Commissioner of Banks. Senator Dodd implies they were the problem. North Carolina and federal laws, do not required banks to register their mortgage loan officers.

The majority of the mortgage loans in this country are made directly by national banks or mortgage lenders. Yet, their mortgage loan officers are not held to the same standards as mortgage brokers and their mortgage loan officers. Again, Senator Dodd is playing the news media and the public while watching out for the national banks.

He represents the true sign of a career politician. It’s time to send him home.

Why don’t you guys organize a movement to impeach this a–hole. He’s never been anything but a Ted Kennedy wannabe. That’ll keep his waning days in office busy. We got rid of ours (Thank you God!). Another alumnus of “A Parliament of Whores”

Chris Dodd is pathetic and fits right in with the many liars, cheats and crooks we continue to send to Washington election after election.

If his lips are moving, one can rest assured he is lying. I cannot even stand to hear this guy talk and have to turn the channel if anyone is foolish enough to put a microphone in his face.

Let’s not forget, though, that many states have their own version of Chris Dodd. Washington DC and state houses all over our fine nation are filled with people just like him.

I have grown very weary, though, of the complaints about Dodd and his ilk. We need to stop complaining and start doing something about it.

It can start with the very clear understanding that when a politician tells us what he/she will do FOR us we should really be prepared for what they will do TO us. The left thrives on Robin Hood politics and has convinced millions of uninformed minions that government is the answer to all of our problems.

Instead of viewing reduced tax rates as allowing Americans to keep more of their hard-earned money, they are purported to be giveaways to the evil rich or selfish people not wanting to take care of the very deserving less fortunate.

Instead of excessive government spending being deemed as dangerous to our economy and a horrible use of taxpayers’ hard-eared money, we are expected to believe government officials when they categorize it as an investment. Are you kidding me?

The days of someone being a social liberal and a fiscal conservative are long gone. The reason is that elite social liberals now ensure that any and all social causes must become a social program.

For all the uninformed and naive bleeding hearts out there who buy into this garbage, please accept congratulations from the rest of us who know better but now have to pay the freight.

And we have so much to be thankful for, I guess. The trillions we have thrown at all the social programs now bankrupting government at all levels have really done the trick. A plethora of liberal policies have done wonders for our urban areas (have you seen Detroit lateley?) and states such as California.

The hundreds of billions we have thrown at public education has been well spent, too, I guess. Each and every large school system in my states is in crisis mode even though we are paying $12,000 – $15,000 per student. The corruption and waste in these systems are horrifying, but we continue to repeat the same mistakes (insanity?) and look for more money to throw at them.

I cannot help but wonder, too, when black Americans will wake up and realize they have been used and abused by the left for decades. The liberal left, including black “leaders” such as Jackson and Sharpton (men of the cloth??!!), has kept you down right where they want you. They don’t give a hoot about you, your kids or your future. All they want is your vote and keeping you down is, in their view, the best way to get it.
