ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group, announced executive appointments in its large-risk division, ACE Risk Management.
Lou Capparelli has been appointed senior vice president and branch manager, Midwest Region, based in Chicago, Ill.
David Zelickman has been appointed senior vice president and Branch Manager, Northeast Region, based in Boston, Mass.
Capparelli and Zelickman will both report to Matt Merna, Chief Operating Officer of ACE Risk Management.
Merna said that the Midwest and Northeast regions represent “tremendous opportunities” for the firm’s growth in the large risk market.
With 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Capparelli most recently served as senior vice president, Northeast Region, for ACE Risk Management. He joined ACE in December, 2002, in Boston where he was responsible for new business production and broker relations in New England and upstate New York. Capparelli previously spent 12 years with Liberty Mutual.
With his nearly 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Zelickman most recently served as senior vice president, ACE Risk Management. He joined ACE in October 2000 as part of the Boston branch’s National Account Underwriting Unit. He previously held positions in the large-risk field operations arena with Reliance and Crum & Forster.
