CNA Select Risk, which includes excess and surplus business, as well as wholesale property accounts, added to its transportation unit the newly-created Center of Excellence in Atlanta. The unit will focus on writing new types of risks, the company said.
The Center of Excellence houses all transportation experts in one location to maximize efficiencies and provide one point of contact for its distribution partners. The unit has also added five new transportation underwriters.
In addition, the unit will focus on a several related risk areas such as specialty auto, public transportation and trucking. It is also writing new types of risks such as: intermodal business, which covers short haul trucking between ports and other distribution points; and a new limousine program which targets small fleet limousine business countrywide.
