American Safety Insurance (ASI) has been selected by Willis Programs, a unit of global insurance broker Willis Group Holdings, as the insurance carrier for the Willis DealerGuard Open Lot and HailExchange programs, replacing Chrysler and Intrepid Insurance Companies. ASI had previously fronted for Chrysler in certain states.
The DealerGuard Open Lot program provides open lot (physical damage) protection for dealers of new and used automobiles, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, trucks, mobile equipment, ATVs, jet skis and antique/classic cars. The program is nationwide and admitted.
The DealerGuard HailExchange program provides single-peril physical damage coverage for dealers in hail-prone areas who have a history of losses due to hailstorms. The program is available on an admitted basis in 21 states.
