How about BP and this administration get out there and stop the oil from flowing anymore. I think the Navy, Coast Guard etc. could get something done faster than the 90 days it is expected to keep flowing for. That is unacceptabe!
I hope for the sake of everybody involved that everything goes right during this process and they get the well capped, the cleanup goes easy and there is as little environmental damage as possible.
Cameron International of Houston manufactured the blowout preventer that failed. They have an insurance limit of $500M. You can almost bet that BP will contend it wasn’t their fault but, rather the blowout preventer was defective and blame all this on Cameron International. BP will probably be filing against Cameron International for their losses which include the loss of the crude oil. Who is to blame???
Hopefully BP will just step up and pay the costs and then subrogate against whatever company they feel is responsible. This is going to be tied up for quite a while anyway.
IT WAS MADE IN CHINA
Have they consulted with their insurance carriers first?
Did you know our Fed Gov has a law that limits their liability to $75,000,000 for cleanup?
IS THE $75,000,000 OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENTS LIMIT OR BP’S LIMIT?
I thought the $75,000,000 limitation was for third party damages, not clean-up.
