If this legislation is so good, why are all those that wanted it, requesting out of it?

114 Corporations have been granted waivers by HHS Secretary Kathleen Sabilis. Have any of you liberals asked WHY?

Waiver – A term used by politicians who do not want to admit failure and own up to the fact the legislation they passed, not only wasn’t read or understood before passage, but is pure garbage, having very little to do with healthcare and a lot to do with quotas, social engineering, payoffs, bribes, and socialism.

What Sarah said, +, If the legislation was so good why did the President and the White House staffers, and the Democrat led Congress and their staffers feel the need to also exempt themselves from this so-called healthcare reform legislation?
Obviously the Democrats see it as us, the ruling class, and them, the people of the United States who are being ruled. No matter what political team you root for, shouldn’t everyone agree that those who pass the laws should also be required to live by them.

Politicians have never seen a tax they didn’t like. No such thing as a temporary tax. Once they are installed, they become leeches on our economy. Now, there is a colossal game of chicken going on in Congress. The lamebrained Reid is saying he wants to pass Bush tax cuts permanently for the “Middle Class”, but have taxes go up for the “rich” because they can’t afford to pass up the pass up the revenue opportunity. Harry, get your head out! We just had an election and there are consequences. America does not want taxes to rise on anyone during a recession, especially one that your Party was mostly to blame for. We want deep spending cuts so no taxes have to be raised.

They want to separate the middle class and the rich when it comes to taxes. They want the richest taxes to come due and vote on just a tax increase for the rich.

WE SHOULD DEMAND THAT ALL TAX RATES FOR ALL AMERICANS BE KEPT TOGETHER AND STOP THE CLASS WARFARE. CLASS WARFARE IS HOW ALL 3RD WORLD NATIONS COLLAPSE AND GO INTO A DICTATORSHIP OR SOCIALISM.

What does the middle class pay on the tax burden? If the richest 10% already pay around 70% of the taxes and the lower 40% pay nothing, the middle class pays about 30% of the taxes. To the Progressives, they want the rich to pay their “fair” share. Hello! I guess they want the rich to pay 90% and the middle class to pay 10%and the rest, nothing. Can anyone say “Redistribution of Wealth”? What a Ponzi scheme! Harry and the rest of his ilk should be in prison for trying to do this.

It begs the question, Why do we need waivers if this is so good for everyone.

Not only is this legislation unconstitutional due to the mandate to purchase, but these waivers granted are also unconstitutional. I want a waiver from paying my income taxes, can anyone do that for me? Then how can anyone give someone a waiver on complying with the new healthcare legislation.

This legislation stinks, and these waivers prove it!

This legislation is only good for the elite and Unions who got the waivers. It is all about controlling the populace and keeping their boot on our necks and is the greatest redistribution of wealth scheme ever devised. Congress also isn’t subject to the law since they have their separate Cadillac plan (probably written by Aetna)and paid for by our taxes. Folks, it isn’t about Healthcare. It is about complete control over our lives.

Sarah, That is exactly what the Chosen One and his minions want, class warfare. They want to massively redistribute the wealth and everyone will be poor and be dependent on the state from cradle to grave. It hasn’t worked out so well for Cuba, Venezuela and a host of other third world countries. I don’t think I want to live on rice and beans and be miserable every day of the week so that he and the elitist Progressive Socialists can live in splendor and control everything I do or say. I say USA, USA, USA and want it to stay that way.

Sorry Sam, but the rich do not pay 70% of taxes. In fact, they get more tax breaks than any other class. Also, the middle class pays more than 30%. We are taxed 4 different ways. Your income is taxed, any bonus or lawsuit settlements are taxed, property taxes and taxes on everything you buy. Not to mention, some of us are dumb enough to pay tolls on a road that was paid for by OUR taxes when the stupid roads were built.

I think many Americans have had a knot in the pit of their stomach for many years with the growth of government and the many intrusive laws that have been passed which has gradually stripped many of our freedoms. This current government is control on “steriods”. The Progressive Agenda has been slowed down by this election, but much work needs to be done to reverse the damage done and shrink the government and its enormous budget that is bankrupting the country.

You really should go to the IRS website and see the tax statistics which were published from the 2008 year. Although Sam isn’t 100% accurate, he is pretty damn close as it’s the top 12.8% pay 71.9%.

Tax breaks or not, those top 13% still cough up the dollars to account for 72% of the total taxes collected.

For the lazy here is the math:
    2008 Total tax returns: 107,201,197
(there were actually 142M returns in 2008, but 40M didn’t have to pay taxes)
    2008 Top 12% returns: 18,168,100

    2008 Total return dollars: 1,106,932,583
    2008 Top 12% tax revenues: 796,623,547

    The numbers don’t lie.

Thank you Former Status quo for straightening out Sorry What!? about who pays the lion’s share of taxes in this country. I think he/she would rather believe MSNBC or CNN or our Commander in Chief’s blather that the so called “rich” should pay their “fair” share. If the bottom 40% pay no income tax, that leaves the middle class paying roughly 30%. In this ponzi scheme, the middle class keeps their present tax structure, the rich pay even more and the bottom 40% will still not pay an income tax. The job creators will not create jobs if this administration/Congress continues to soak them. It is the worst possible policy if this country is to recover from the recession.

Thank goodness someone posted the stats from the IRS. All of this nonsense that the rich don’t really pay taxes is not based on facts- it is based on lies and hyperbole from talking heads.

Obamacare will never be repealed. For one, the dems are still in control of the Senate and Obama has to sign off on it (which will never happen). Unfortunately, Republicans will not get enough power in 2012 to be able to pull if off, either. They are going to have to change it other ways.

I may have to disagree with you Joan about the Republicans not gaining enough power to overturn the agenda in 12. I think the American people are fully awake and this President and most of his minions are toast. If the Republicans can provide viable candidates who can debate and provide Conservative solutions to the problems, I think they will ride another tidal wave back into power and Obamacare and the other Progressive policies will go away.

It will really depend on who the Republicans put up for the white house. Palin is not going to beat Obama. Romney will be seen as a hypocrit since he put in place MA’s universal healthcare. Gingrich has been part of the “establishment” and may have trouble with the Tea Party. Huckabee being on Fox News may not garner love from independents.

Unfortunately, if Obama moves to the center, it will be hard to remove him from office in 2012. As much as I’d like for it to happen, I have to be realistic.

I agree that Romney has too much baggage with Masscare which has been pretty much a disaster like Obamacare will be. The attack dog media is waiting for Sarah since they fear her so much. She may have to wait and just campaign for the nominee. She would be great as Energy/Interior secretary in the new administration and then we would get some serious production going. Someone will emerge next year such as Chris Christie, Jim Demint, Tim Pawlenti who are serious conservatives, can debate and take it to the Progressives. Newt has some baggage and is rooted in the Republican elitist party even though he talks a good game.
