Angelo Mangia, president and CEO of Long Island, N.Y.-based Standard Funding, has been elected president of the National Premium Finance Association at its annual meeting in Charlotte, N.C., on Nov. 10.
The National Premium Finance Association represents the nation’s largest insurance premium finance companies. Standard Funding is a licensed premium finance company formed 32 years ago and conducting business throughout the continental United States.
Mangia joined Standard Funding in 2001 after having served as managing director at the investment banking firm of Sandler O’Neill & Partners. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 1995, Mangia was chief counsel to the New York State Senate. Before becoming the Senate’s chief counsel, Mangia served as chief counsel to the Senate Banking Committee and the Senate Committee on Crime. He is the recipient of the New York State Bar Association’s Award for Outstanding Work in Criminal Justice Legislation.
