Marsh has been named a 2010 NFIP Insurance Agency of the Year by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
Patrice Collingwood, practice leader for Marsh’s Flood Service Center, accepted the award on behalf of Marsh earlier this month during the annual National Flood Conference in New Orleans.
Marsh’s Flood Service Center, led by Collingwood along with Ian Macartney, Marsh’s head of operations for U.S. Risk Practices, is part of Marsh’s U.S. Property Practice. It places more than 8,000 policies for more than 1,000 clients annually.
Through its Insurance Agency Award, the NFIP recognizes brokers and agencies for their flood insurance policy growth, marketing strategies, participation in flood awareness activities, and adherence to underwriting guidelines.
