Guidelines to Limit an Agency’s Risks in Social Media

    Guidelines… everyone loves guidelines, especially when there are 17 of them.

    Quick, before you send that email or post that twitter update, reference the 17 bullet points and consider how your post might apply to each one.

    Good in theory, but is anyone naive to think that these would be followed? I am sure Anthony Weiner had some guidelines regarding appropriate use also.

    I think guidelines provide good insight into what you should and should not do. Having them out there sets the agency up in such a way that they have grounds for dismissal if someone is abusing their privilages. Also, the 17 bullet pooints would not be hard to remember. Most are common sense.
