NSM Insurance Group’s Express Hotel Program is now providing property coverage for accounts that are hit with an infestation of Cimicidae (the technical name of bed bugs).
The topic of bed bugs has been in the news often recently for the hotel industry. While the typical package policy will provide general liability coverage for bed bugs, the property policy does not provide coverage.
The endorsement is designed to pay the costs to get rid of bed bugs up to a total of $5,000 per year and is available immediately. There is no cost to add this to new accounts, and the deductible is $250.
