And the government wants us to trust them to run our healthcare. None of the departments including FDA do their job. No telling how many thousands of employees work there downloading porn instead of looking after public safety.

Talk about the tail wagging the dog. How do these devices like the DePuy hip gain approval in the FIRST place? Once the horse is out of the barn, it is too late to close the door. That is the trouble with government {they} spend billions or is it trillions, like most Americans I have lost count, in a feable effort feable effort to close the barn door.

Having a device implanted into your body and having that device removed involves much more than a trip to your local auto dealer to have a fuse changed!

The only alternative for Americans is to pay more and more in taxes and see debt and deficits grow expodentionally and accept results with “Oh well, it is close enough for government work.”

As we approach this country’s birthday, I fear we are in a state of decline from which we may not recover.

The reason these devices are approved is “MONEY”. Lobbyists are as thick as leaves on a tree in DC. All a company needs to do is grease the right palms and they are given the go ahead. We also have imbecilic bureaucrats in Washington who don’t see the unintended consequences of their actions. You are right that this country is in decline and government doesn’t work because it is far too big and union employees who have no skin in the game are running the show.
