The Hartford will provide the National Wildlife Federation’s four million members, partners and supporters with access to its auto and home insurance through a special program that offers discounted rates in most states.
The National Wildlife Federation works with communities across the country to protect and restore wildlife habitat, confront global warming and to encourage people to connect with nature.
The Hartford has insured renewable energy risks, including solar, wind and geothermal, for more than 20 years. Recently, The Hartford enhanced its homeowners insurance products with several new green features, including incentives for making eco-friendly home upgrades and insurance coverage for home-based electric vehicle charging stations. The company offers auto policyholders a premium discount when insuring hybrid vehicles. The company also recently installed electric vehicle charging stations on all of its Connecticut campuses.
