Why would they elect McCarty? He’s been one of the biggest boobs in contributing to the mess we have in Florida.

Because the NAIC election is just a choice among all boob, and that goes especially for the elected (as opposed to appointed) so-called “regulators”. Most are unemployable in the private sector due to lack of education and or solid professional experience, and thoroughly corrupt. State insurance commissioner’s offices are fertile grounds for getting rich quick, and they know it. That’s why they want the office. The infantile superboob IC in Delaware is a prime example of all of the above.

I do not comment all that often, but this has me so incensed I can’t see straight. This country has had some crooked and even downright terrible commissioners, but never one as feckless and inane as mccarty. He has single handedly driven that states insurance market into the ground. He is stupid, crooked, two-faced and just completely incompetent. His lack of ability is so obvious I don’t even need to discuss hi shortcomings, any insurance professional who reads this knows at least something about what a nimrod he is. I will be contacting the NAIC to vent my grievance because this simply should not stand!

I agree with the previous comments and had to read it a couple of times to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating.

Regardless of what you think of him, I’m kind of surprised he would have time to serve as NAIC President, in view of all the regulatory stuff that is always going on in FL.
