Thank you again Congress for not doing your job. Those of us in the industry don’t even bother to quote flood anymore because we never know where we stand and whether coverage can be put in force due to these starts and stops.
governmental entities should not be in the business of writing insurance. yeah, some of you will say that the private sector won’t provide it. tough. federal flood is a prime example of excess government. if the federal flood program had never come about, life would have gone on and the problem would have been resolved thru private industry. the mortgage industry and private business would have worked something out.
