    uummm….Is it not so that the Indian Nations do not participate in any taxes to the Gov’t?? How do they deem themselves “qualified/entitled” to accept disaster assistance that is funded by said taxes?

      Sorry, you’re wrong. All Native Americans pay federal income taxes. They don’t pay state income taxes or state sales taxes while on their own tribal lands, but when they transact business off the reseration, they pay state and federal taxes on those transactions as well.

      So, yes, they do pay federal income taxes and yes, they should be entitled to FEMA funds just like everyone else.
