Perhaps there should be a new definition for Terrorism. Our Administration has a very tough time calling Terrorists Terrorists. Major Hassan’s shooting is now being called workplace violence by this administration. Let’s see, he had cards that said he was a soldier of Allah and he screamed out Allah Akbar before shooting 13 soldiers to death while wounding others.
Six months after 9/11, George W Bush gave a news conference at which he said:
“Who knows if he’s hiding in some cave or not. We haven’t heard from him in a long time. The idea of focusing on one person really indicates to me people don’t understand the scope of the mission. Terror is bigger than one person. He’s just a person who’s been marginalized. … I don’t know where he is. I really just don’t spend that much time on him, to be honest with you.”
In 2005, he disbanded the unit that was earching for bin Laden.
On May 1, 2011, President Obama announced the successful mission to kill bin Laden. Under his watch, drone strikes against terrorists have incerased dramatically and we’ve killed more al Qaeda in the past two years than Bush did in his eight.
And you have the nerve to suggest that President Obama is somehow soft of terror? Man, you live is an alternate universe.
Wow, this article was in Dec 11th and a post just now came in on it. Stuck in Cyberspace for over 6 months IJ???? I thought you had disappeared TOPOV since you haven’t been spouting your Progressive rhetoric for a while. Since your post of 12-8, it has gotten much worse for this President and Afghanistan is a cess pool and we need to get out of there before we lose any more fine young people. He sent the Seal Team 6 on another mission in a lumbering twin rotor helicopter and managed to get them all killed in the process. How is that for leadership?
