AMS RRG will start offering new medical liability insurance coverage options specifically designed for plastic and aesthetic surgeons beginning this month.
Dr. Harry K. Moon will lead the new program as specialty medical director for plastic and aesthetic surgery. He will also serve on the medical executive committee of AMS RRG. Moon has 25 years of experience as a physician, researcher and surgeon and was one of the founding faculty members of Cleveland Clinic Florida.
“We look forward to initiating the preferred aesthetic program and are very pleased to have Dr. Moon serve as its specialty medical director,” said Richard B. Welch, President and CEO of AMS RRG. “His experience and reputation are truly exemplary. Additionally, his commitment to the highest standards of surgery and medicine are a complement to the core values of AMS RRG.”
AMS RRG member physicians and practices will receive many features under the new program including specialty-specific claim and risk management reviews conducted by Moon. Members will also receive individual underwriting, which includes a practice evaluation by a physician and tailored policy terms.
The RRG is based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and has provided medical liability insurance to a broad range of specialties since 2003.
