According to another outside testing firm, upon performing an inspection of the canisters, they found that the emergency equipment contained higher-than-expected concentrations of asbestos and tobacco, while others contained a mix of oxygen and lithium.

When interviewed by investigators, Raoul Baxter, the company’s head of Product Research issued the following statement.

“Look, these containers were only designed to last three hours, and in recent calamaties, rescuers took 40 hours to secure the survivors. We figured that the remaining hours of workers lives should be stress-free, hence the lithium. As for the other units, we determined that if the causation of the survivors lingering health problems could be deflected towards other airborne factors, then our liability would be shared with other potential sources”.
