GMI Insurance, a managing general agent for transportation insurance nationwide, has launched a new program for non-franchised, used auto dealerships.
GMI is the exclusive nationwide underwriting manager for this program, which is presently being offered through Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), a member of Liberty Mutual Group.
The program focuses on small- to medium-size, non-franchised auto dealers, incidental new automobile franchise operations, and incidental sales of trucks, RVs, boats and motorcycles. ISO based coverages include garage liability, general liability (lessors risk), property, business income & extra expense, inland marine, dealers open lot/garage keepers legal liability, false pretense, and all forms of dealer error & omission coverages.
With this program, GMI can provide the insurance not only for the used car operations, but also for the auto rental/loaner operations. The program is not yet available in Colo., Conn., Fla., Hawaii, Mass., N.D., N.H. or Va.
GMI Insurance’s suite of transportation-related insurance programs includes business auto, rental fleet, contingent auto lease, non-franchised auto dealers and auto service and repair garages.
