Aspen US Insurance will expand its marine capabilities in the U.S. by offering brown water hull, protection & indemnity, and marine liabilities coverages.
These new product offerings result from Aspen US Marine’s expansion of its existing business relationship with Axiom Insurance Management, Ltd. (Axiom), a managing general agency based in Atlanta. Aspen US Insurance currently distributes recreational marine products through Axiom. This increased offering will be effective October 1, 2012. The primary emphasis will be on commercial marine businesses in the continental US.
Axiom is a marine specialist that brings underwriting and wholesale capabilities to the Aspen US Insurance Marine business model.
The Aspen US Insurance complete Marine product offering includes: property, inland marine, recreational marine, marine general liability, bumbershoot, and hull and protection & indemnity coverages. Within the scope of this new marine initiative, Aspen US Marine through Axiom, will be writing U.S. inland and coastal brown water hull accounts and commercial marine operations such as ship repairers, stevedores, terminals, wharfingers and charterers.
