American International Group, Inc. has introduced OSHA Counsel Assist (OSHA Assist), an enhancement to general liability programs for construction clients that provides policyholders with legal support and additional limits if a work place injury or death results in an investigation by OSHA.
Specifically, OSHA Assist provides expanded general liability coverage that includes:
- Access to representation from a selection of expert legal counsel specializing in OSHA litigation;
- Access to legal advice to address arbitration issues directly affiliated with an OSHA investigation; and
- Reimbursement of defense costs up to a specified aggregate limit for as long as a Chartis-approved legal advocate is retained during OSHA proceedings.
