Ron Carlier has been appointed chief executive officer of CSGC-Swett & Crawford North America’s reinsurance subsidiary, Cooper Gay Re North America.
Carlier will be accountable for the group’s U.S. reinsurance strategy as well as developing treaty capabilities alongside its growing facultative reinsurance practice.
He will report to Shaun Hooper, president and CEOr of CGSC – Swett & Crawford North America, and reside in New York.
Carlier has held a number of senior positions throughout his 38 year career. He spent 1988 to 2005 at RK Carvill, a private international intermediary where he rose to the position of CEO. Before that, he served as CEO of Minet Re, part of JH Minet, a large publicly quoted international broker.
Cooper Gay Re currently has offices in Atlanta, Miami, New York and San Francisco.
