Motorists Mutual Insurance has introduced a product specifically to provide a safeguard for owners of self-storage facilities. The new self-storage coverage from Motorists helps business owners protect themselves with features such as:
- Actual loss sustained business income coverage
- Customer property legal liability
- Coverage for signs, fences and landscaping at their facilities
- Sale and disposal liability
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are more than 50,000 self-storage facilities across the country. These facilities are a growing market for an increasingly mobile population filled with people who want to hold onto their belongings, but can’t always take everything with them when they move.
The Motorists Insurance Group, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, consists of 10 property and casualty insurance, life insurance and insurance brokerage companies.
