Whatever the increase, it should be reduced by the $50M they spent on conferences. Party time is over people. Get to work!

Libby, a good way IRS can try to restore some credibility would be to have a list of all IRS employees who attended these conferences and enjoyed all the perks just do a re-imbursement to the people. They could just divide it up per head and cut a check for it. They also should forego the $70 million in bonuses they are due to get since they certainly don’t deserve anything for their nefarious activities. Also, they can announce that Lois Lerner is no longer an employee of the IRS and they should order her to testify instead of taking the 5th.

True. We just have to persevere. This IS going to happen whether people like it or not.

If they were targeting just because of beliefs, they deserve to be exposed. The IRS just a bunch of bullies picking on people because of what they believe.

Was out scouting new locations today. Business is BOOMING big time. Moving out of state right now seems against logic as revenues are way up vs same time last year. Seemingly running 3-4 new business apts a week now. Problem here in town is reasonable rent is in foreclosure. One location I looked at not in foreclosure was three times what everyone else is looking for. Buy a place?? With market forces in my local area drilling down market value? $300K purchase price today – $250K sale price next year. I just don’t know the right answer. So many vacancies. So many foreclosures. So many business failing and pulling out of IL. Writing on the wall at State Farm. Most direct employees headed to TX, TN, GA or the unemployment line. Nothing official to employees yet, but plenty of grumbling around the claim center coming right out of the managers mouth.

And Libby, your right – its getting jammed down our throats ready or not.

And yes agent, your right too. Kick the unions to the curb. The Trib did it. The Suntimes is doing it. Labor unions have outlived their usefulness.

FFA, I was sorry to hear that Chicago violence is still so bad. Saw a report that over Father’s day, 7 more shot to death and 41 injured. I have a grown daughter due to attend a business seminar up there in about a week and I told her to not go near the south side. Hopefully, her hotel is in a safer area. I guess Rahm’s best efforts to control violence are not working so well.

There are some great restaurants on the south side. I’d keep her from going into some of the western areas.

I bet she’ll be in a fine area, Agent. If it’s a business seminar, she’ll likely be on Wacker Dr somewhere, or in that vicinity. Tell her to go to Billy Goat’s Tavern for lunch. Maybe you remember the Saturday Night Live skit with Belushi. No Pepsi…Coke! No fries, cheeps! Chicago’s fun, she’ll be good.

Thanks for the advice Planet. I will pass it on. I am sure my daughter will be in the safer side of town and her employer usually puts them up in really nice hotels.

You bet, Agent. And I don’t know if it’s her thing or not, but she can find some great deep dish pizza there, too. My favorite is Gino’s East and ask for the hub cap of sausage. The entire pizza, save the crust, is layered with Italian sausage. Unbelievable! I’m hungry just thinking about it. Their crust is delicious, too. I bet she can’t eat more than 2 pieces.

True on that Cap – the west side has got real bad.
Agent, she should be ok if she stick in a crowd. Not wise for women to be wandering the streets of Chicago – no matter where – alone.

I’m sorry to say it, but PC has to go. He has had his time to improve things. Tearing down what Daley found to work was a big mistake. Refusing to admit that was a mistake is even worse. Now that school closings are happening and kids will be walking through rival gang turf, Sept should see a substantial jump in the school aged kids violence / murder rate.

Rahm & McCarthy arrogance is going to get kids killed.

One solution that I don’t like – nor will anyone who lives in Chicago – bring in the national guard.

Hey FFA. Good to see you back on line with a pithy comment. Isn’t it just wonderful that given all the problems this dysfunctional agency has had recently, that they think they deserve a $70 Million bonus because it is in the union contract. This is yet another good reason to disband all public unions for schools, city, county, state and Federal employees. Hey, we are in Sequester for many needed programs and these idiot union employees think they deserve a bonus even with criminal investigations going on. By the way, Lois Lerner continues to draw her $177,000 salary while on administrative leave. How great is that?

    This article includes disinformation:

Sarah Hall Ingram was not reassigned to ObamaCare in December 2010. At the time the IRS resumed targeting of Tea Party groups under new guidelines in May 2012, she was the immediate boss of Lois Lerner, the IRS official who pleaded the Fifth Amendment.

Check out this May 2012 testimony by Sarah H. Ingram in which she identifies her position in the IRS:

The Affordable Health Care Act is neither affordable, nor improve the supply of Health Care, as a result of its provisions that weren’t read before it was passed by a Nancy-led House. Those are the real reasons it is being subjected to de-funding actions by Republicans. Only Republicans seem to understand how bad it is, or are the only people who do not deny it.
