The new acquisition sounds like a strategic move in a new direction, positioning Amfam to increase their online/direct insurance presence, as well as becoming multi-line/online/direct. So, the future is taking shape, where Amfam will be multi-state, multi-line, multi-channel.

Like most other captive carriers, the Amfam Agents will now have their own mother competing against them!! How nice!!

Sounds like a carbon copy of Farmers acquisitions except that Farmers did them 10 years ealier. Do you think that consultant just moved right down the street from Farmers to AmFam?

I hope AmFam gives Homesite REALISTIC taste of the insurance world. They are a young company trying to grow too fast and set unrealistic expectations.
