B&B Protector Plans, Inc. and Aspen US Insurance have partnered for lawyers professional liability, with Aspen US now the carrier for the Lawyer’s Protector Plan (LPP). The program will offer lawyers professional liability coverage to law firms with one to 20 attorneys, except in California, Florida, Illinois and Pennsylvania where the program will be available to law firms with one to 9 attorneys.
B&B Protector plans has been in the lawyers’ professional liability marketplace for 30 years. The partnership with Aspen will allow B&B to provide underwriting, claims, and risk management options to the small and mid-size law firm market.
According to Justin Camara, Aspen’s senior vice president of professional liability, the addition of the program broadens the carrier’s professional liability offering to law firms of all sizes.
The LPP is a division of B&B Protector Plans, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc.
Aspen US Insurance, which is part of Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited, writes property, casualty and specialty insurance in the United States on both a surplus lines and admitted basis through Aspen Specialty Insurance Co. and Aspen American Insurance Co. The company’s underwriting teams have a specialized focus on inland marine and ocean risks, professional liability, management liability and directors and officers insurance, all of which are underwritten in addition to established lines of property, general casualty and environmental liability.
