Edward L. Dandridge has joined Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc. as chief communications officer.
In this role, Dandridge will be responsible for strategy and leadership of global corporate communications, including media, public relations, and internal communications. Dandridge will report to Executive Vice President and General Counsel Peter J. Beshar and Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Laurie Ledford. He will be based in New York.
Dandridge joins Marsh & McLennan Companies from Collective, a digital technology company, where he served as chief marketing officer. Previously, he was chief communications officer at Nielsen from 2008 – 2011, where he structured the company’s global communications and marketing organization and managed the Nielsen brand in more than 100 markets.
Prior to Nielsen, he was managing partner at BrandSphere, a consultancy specializing in external relations and issues management, for eight years. Before that, he served as vice president at Disney’s ABC Television Network, where he managed digital program promotions, public affairs, and public relations, preceded by six years at The Sawyer Miller Group, where he led the corporate branding practice. Dandridge also previously served as president and CEO of the National Association of Investment Companies, an industry trade group representing small private equity and venture firms.
