As part of the executive liability practice, Keegan will be expanding the capabilities of Beecher Carlson in cyber liability and technology risk products.
Keegan comes to Beecher Carlson with a background in cyber liability products, having worked on their development in the reinsurance sector at Zurich Re and in the insurance brokerage industry with Willis where he was for the last eight years, most recently as a senior vice president for E&O and e- risk, Willis FINEX in North America.
Keegan said he sees the post as an opportunity to “add distribution channels and further establish the company as a leading cyber risk advisor.”
Keegan’s appointment is one of a series of steps Beecher Carlson has said it will be taking to grow its business. Beecher Carlson, which was acquired by Brown & Brown in July of 2013, said it will also be investing resources in a merger and acquisition team out of New York; a property resource in Bermuda; the property, energy and executive liability areas in the Northeast and on the West Coast; management of international placements and its proprietary claims and loss production process named ZOOM
