September 22, 2014

JLT Specialty Insurance Services Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of specialty insurance and reinsurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc (JLT), has named several cyber risk specialists to its cyber risk team in the U.S.

Joining JLT Specialty will be Florence Levy, formerly at Lockton in Denver; Lauren Cisco, formerly at Lockton in Chicago, and Shannon Groebber, formerly at Lockton in Philadelphia. They will work from JLT offices in their respective cities.

The appointments are in line with JLT’s announcement of plans to expand significantly its U.S. specialty capabilities into key specialty areas including Energy, Construction, Financial Lines, Credit, Political & Security and Aerospace.

Michael Rice has been appointed as CEO of Denver-based JLT Specialty Insurance Services Inc. and Paul Donnelly has been named president and deputy CEO.

In recent months, JLT Specialty Insurance Services announced the addition of Colin Daly, most recently managing principal and National Practice Leader, Financial Services Group USA; Paul Graziano, formerly executive vice president, Risk Solutions; Brian Hood, formerly senior vice president FSG USA; Brad McDonald, formerly western region managing director, FSG USA and David Payne, formerly co-leader, US National Sales.

The appointments are all subject to the fulfillment of existing contractual obligations, the company said.

Last month JLT Group plc expanded its U.S. specialty capabilities and merged JLT Specialty Ltd. and Lloyd & Partners Ltd. That merger of specialty teams into one operation came after JLT’s acquisition of reinsurance broker Towers Watson Re last year.

The U.S. expansion plan is expected to require a net investment of approximately $85 million during the period 2015 to 2017.
