If companies can’t defend themselves by taking out the source of the hacking and the government is taking responsibility for stopping the hackers, then the companies should be shielded from liability for data breach from hacking attacks.
No one should be “hacking back”. What is going on here. That’s like if someone robs me, I rob them? Commit a crime to rebuke a crime? This makes no sense. Not to mention that it is almost impossible to track whom the hacker is so many times they will attack the wrong party. This is just stupid but .gov usually is.
