Leave it to corporate america to hang itself! if a company lost money, why is the knee jerk reaction is to raise rates?? maybe just maybe the other guy has a better product!! LMFAO and america wonders why WALL STREET needed a BAILOUT!! masters of the universe huh?? NO masters of the CON! it’s 1929 ALL over again!
Just cancelled Allstate after many years. They conveniently send you your policy renewal with fluff “Continue enjoying great savings and safe driving rewards” but fail to tell you what the LAST policy price was, whether it increased or decreased (which it never does). Good riddance. I will be encouraging others to cancel as well.
Brad, I think you were one of those long time loyal customers with loss free experience that they decided to raise because they could. Unfortunately for them, you did something about it. Were you one of those who thought they would save $496 per year over the competition? I am afraid there really isn’t much underwriting going on these days on accounts. All of them are slaves to the computer and it just comes out automatically with no human eyes ever seeing what went out.
So you make a profit and that is the time to raise rates once again.
“So you make a profit and that is the time to raise rates once again.”
Of course. If profits had tanked, they would have lowered rates. Right!?
No- when profits are up, insurance companies traditionally lower rates, it’s just sensible business strategy. GEICO is in a decline and is raising rates then, instead: http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/national/2015/05/04/366720.htm.
Pick a different moniker dude. I am Agent and I don’t need anyone imitating me to post.
