I love Uber and take it when I can. The Cabs in NEO are way to unreliable.

However, its just a matter of time before Uber Drivers become Employees. The way they treat their Drivers, the so called partners is deplorable. My buddy drives for them and they terrorize drivers with their driver ratings and its always the customers right, never the driver.

Uber is just a group of venture backed people trying to go public as fast as they can to cash out! There is no “ride sharing experience”! The passenger is getting a ride from point A to point B… just like a taxi. Let the geniuses make Uber run the same as cabs – or to make it SIMPLE AND FAIR… deregulate the cab companies! Then taxi drivers can charge as much as they want, just like the Uber drivers. Citizens are paying for a ride for hire from BOTH. Not only does Uber not care about its drivers, it does not care about its passengers. Cab drivers must pass physicals, drug tests, CPR courses, dress properly as well as pay for medallions, and have the vehicle safety inspected at LEAST once a week. Also Uber drivers do not have to go into the poorer areas of town, whereas most cab companies insist cab drivers take a percentage of those calls. What is Uber doing for the passenger’s safety… OH… THEY ARE CREATING THE “RIDE-SHARING EXPERIENCE”… right!

There’s no way an Uber driver would be deemed an EMPLOYEE… If that were the case, SIGN ME UP because… I need a MINOR AUTO ACCIDENT to TRIGGER EMPLOYER’S LIABILITY so I can RETIRE EARLY on a WORK COMP CLAIM against my EMPLOYER… UBER! Yes, yes… I WILL need at least ONE attorney to represent me… Don’t worry you “legal eagles” you would get BIG BITE our of UBER representing their INJURED EMPLOYEE/DRIVERS after EVERY ACCIDENT, irrespective of FAULT… That is, until GOOGLE creates an autonomous UBER Vehicle, ie: “AUV”. Don’t laugh, they are working on it now and I HAVE ALREADY INVESTED in it… OF THAT I AM OMNISURE!
